I want to paint the my red leather sectional only the part that you sit on I don’t know what paint to UAE are what to do first or anything please help me and tell me what to do!! Ms Sexy Patricia Ann Lewis
Hi Patricia! You can use Annie Sloan’s chalk paint on leather. There may be other brands of chalk paint that will work too. I’ve never painted leather, but I have painted fabric furniture and I honestly wasn’t thrilled with the results. I thought the fabric felt like cheap, fake leather when I was finished. If you decide to try it, you’ll need to water down your paint a bit. When painting fabric, I also spritz the fabric with water to dampen it before painting, but I’m not sure that would work on leather. Paint one coat on, let it dry then lightly sand it with a fine grit sandpaper. Wipe off the dust and repeat. You can give it a coat of clear wax after your final coat of paint if you want, and it may need to be lightly sanded again after wax. Good luck, and if you decide to go for it let me know how it turns out.
Thank you so much for so generously sharing your work order and ideas about pricing! What an incredibly helpful gesture, I now know how to approach this issue with much more confidence!
