Seahorse Sign (Made From Wood Shims)
We moved into our house a little over three years ago and we still have rooms with builder white walls and no decor. We’re slowly getting there, but it’s definitely a process to decorate a house. Next on the list is tackling the kids bathroom. I purchased this shower curtain from The Land Of Nod a few months ago, but haven’t done much else with the room. I came up with the idea to use inexpensive wood shims to create a distressed wooden sign, and paint a seahorse silhouette on it. It’s a super easy project, and you can choose any silhouette or stencil to create your own custom design.
Thrift Store Remake: Faux Concrete Finial
I’ve always had a hard time looking at an object and envisioning what it could be. It’s something I’m working on; seeing the good bones behind the ugly paint or bad fabric. Taking an ordinary nothing and turning it into an amazing something. Thrift stores are a great place to practice stretching those creative muscles.
