We’re so excited to finally have a few furniture pieces ready to share with you! The first is this 3-drawer side table with a vintage bicycle ad.
Here’s a before look at the table. Excuse the blurry photo snapped with my phone.
The table was pretty beat up and sad looking. I first gave it a couple coats of paint using Annie Sloan “French Linen”.
I found the Vintage Bicycle Ad graphic on the Graphics Fairy website, and painted it on using Annie Sloan’s “Graphite”. You can find our detailed instructions for painting graphics on furniture here.
After the paint dried, I distressed it with a sanding block. I’m usually a less is more person when it comes to distressing furniture, but this table felt like it could handle a little extra sanding.
We gave it a good waxing and reused the original knobs. My initial plan was to replace them with these really cool vintage-y looking glass knobs I saw at Hobby Lobby, but the cost was more than I wanted to spend since I needed 9 of them.
This table is one of the first items for sale in our new booth. We set everything up yesterday and I’m dying to share the details with you! We’ll be posting about all of it soon, but in the meantime we’ll be sharing lots of pics on Instagram. If you’re on Instagram too you can find us here.
We’ll be sharing more furniture makeovers in the near future. If you’d like to join our email group, we’ll let you know when new projects are posted on the blog. Sign up the right side of this page (right under our picture).
Enjoy the rest of your day!

You ladies did such a great job! After years of using overhead projectors, I would like one now so that I can do amazing things, like you. I saw your link at Your Designs This Time link party.
Thank you so much, Ann Marie! We had an overhead projector years ago and never used it so we got rid of it. We were kicking ourselves until a friend said they had one in their basement they weren’t using! It works so well for this type of project :).
