Thank you, Pauline!
Maggie says
Great job on that french redo. Can I ask what is a reasonable price to ask for that item?
Canary Street Crafts (Amy) says
Hi Maggie!! Of course you can ask about pricing! We’ve done several french pieces, if you’re talking about the most recent French Corset Dresser it’s tagged at $169. That’s a little low for us but it reflects the overall condition of the piece. Even after all the repairs we did, it still isn’t in perfect condition. If you’re asking about the shorter dresser with Vignes Greffees painted on the front, we tagged it at $245 and it sold within 24 hours. It was one of the first dressers we’d ever sold and we weren’t sure how to price it. If I were putting it in the booth today, I’d probably price it around $300. Price definitely varies in different parts of the country and you just have to know your area. We’re in a multi-vendor location and prices are definitely lower than we could ask for in a storefront. Are you selling furniture yet? If so where are you located? I wish you the best of luck and if you have any other questions you’re welcome to email me at canarystreetcrafts@gmail.com

I cannot seem to find the Annie Sloan chalkboard paint and brushes, it isn’t, available anywhere around here, can you tell me where I may find it? Once I found an article that had a starter kit that had 3 of the paint ,and a paint brush and wax brush, of course you could choose the paints of your choice. When I called a target they did not sell that brand. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Canary Street Crafts (Amy) says
Hi Judy! Here’s a link to Annie Sloan’s website where you can do a search to find shops near you who sell it: http://www.unfolded.com/find-stockist/. It’s only sold by independent stockists, no big box stores. Some stockists also sell it online and will ship it to you (The Purple Painted Lady is one). There are also lots of other brands of chalk paint that work just as well as Annie Sloan’s brand. Americana Decor, CeCe Caldwell, Heirloom Traditions, etc…there are TONS of them out there. I haven’t used them all myself but for the most part they all do the same thing. Just make sure you’re looking for chalk paint, not chalkboard paint, as they’re two completely different things. If you have any other questions or you’re still struggling to find a good paint, email me and I’ll help you figure it out! Best of luck with your project!

Hi Lindsay! We don’t have an online shop :(. Everything we’ve made that’s on the website has already sold in our antique mall booth as well. Hope you’re able to find something similar or make your own (they’re super easy!!). Best, Amy
