A few months ago, we hosted a baby shower for my sister in law. We decided not to have traditional games at the shower, but still wanted to do some sort of activity to get everyone involved. We found this frame at Target for $15, and decided to use it to make a scrapbook collage for the baby’s room. (This pink matched the pink and gray theme in the baby’s room, but we also saw the frame in black, or you could paint it). Unfortunately we don’t have any pictures from the party, but we set up a table with scrapbooking supplies organized in cute glass vases and bowls. We cut a bunch of paper ahead of time to fit the 4″ x 6″ frame openings, and provided lots of cute embellishments, markers, scissors, glue, etc.
The idea was for everyone to decorate a page, then write a note to the baby on the back so she would know who made each one.
We had so much fun doing this craft together. There were several kids at the party, and they were able to get involved and make their own page as well. Even the baby’s one year old brother made a page (with a little help from his momma).
We had some extra frame openings, so after the baby was born, they put a few of her newborn pictures in as well. We think the pictures really pulled it all together, and we love the way it turned out.
Most of these were made by people who have never done any type of scrapbooking before. And we think that’s what’s so great about it. It really is an activity everyone can do, and we loved seeing how excited everyone was to create a page for the collage. A lot of love and laughter went into making this craft and it’s a wonderful keepsake for the new baby and her parents.
If you make this project, we’d love to see it! Please share with us in our comment section or upload a picture to our Facebook page, and we may highlight your craft in a future post!
