A big thank you to Dezignable for sponsoring this post. All opinions and love of home decor are entirely my own.
Most of you know I’ve been in the process of decorating my home for quite a while now. I’ve struggled to figure out what my personal style is, and even when I think I have it figured out it’s still hard for me to translate those ideas into reality.
In the midst of searching for home decorating ideas, I came across Dezignable, and after talking with one of the founders, Marty, I knew this was something I wanted to share with you.

Dezignable is a start-up design company that’s changing the way people design and remodel their homes. They offer fixed price design services that gives you three design concepts for the price of one. So what exactly does that mean? Let me break it down for you.

Let’s say you’re in the process of designing or redecorating your kitchen. You simply upload a photo of your kitchen along with details like room dimensions and budget. Add a couple photos of decor you love to give the designers a sense of your style. Submit your project, and three different professional designers will come up with a custom design for your space. You get to choose your favorite of the three and that designer will work with you to create the final floor plan and a detailed shopping list.

How simple is that?! You get professional design plans from three separate designers and you don’t even have to leave your couch.
Here’s a few examples of real concept boards from Dezignable designers, just to give you a feel for the process. One thing I love about the concept boards is the ability to see all the design elements together. I have trouble putting individual pieces together as a cohesive look and this is one area where the professional designers shine.
So let’s talk cost. You can check out details on exactly what each package includes here, but basically it’s $299 for one room, $699 for two rooms, or $1249 for four rooms. Plus if you’re not completely satisfied, they have a 100% money back guarantee.

I haven’t submitted a room project to Dezignable yet but I’m seriously thinking about getting help with my family room. It’s big, it’s tan, and it has a giant wall with nothing hanging on it but a television. We’ve lived in this house for nearly 5 years and I’m still at a loss with this room. I’ll definitely share it with you guys if I decide to get design help with it.

In the meantime, I’m curious if you’ve ever used a professional designer, and what your thoughts are on using an online service like Dezignable. Is there a room in your home that could use some help?

That is such a neat concept for a design company! I know our master could REALLY use some help 🙂
I think so too! I’ve never seen an easier way to get interior design help and I have more than one room that could use help too!
Hey Amy – this is a fantastic concept! Sometimes it just takes someone taking a peek from the outside in. This is so personalized and easy. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Vicki and Jenn! I agree, sometimes an outside perspective makes all the difference. Thanks for stopping by :).
This is interesting, and a great idea to use if you are stuck on a room in your home. I have never used anyone to design and decorate my home but me. However, if I had something out of my scope, or was stuck for ideas this seems like a great option!
Thanks, Emily! They make it so easy to get a little design help.
Thanks for sharing, Amy! So interesting! Ive never heard of them… would be a great idea to get a push on getting a room done!
Yes! You’re the queen of one-room challenges! This would be an awesome tool to get the next one done :).
This is a great idea! We will be giving the kitchen a reboot next year and want to tear down a wall and move everything. I keep going back and forth on whether I should do it all myself or hire a designer for input. Thanks so much for sharing this info, I’m glad to know I have an online option as well. Seems easier (and cheaper).
Can’t wait to see what you do with the kitchen! And I totally agree this seems easier and cheaper than finding a local designer to come into your home.
Btw, if you click on Sydney from Tastefully Frugal (she commented below), she and the girls from the Dream Create Inspire Link party are giving away a free room design from Dezignable. You should put in for it for your kitchen!
Love this concept! So much easier having someone else do all the work 😉
I agree! This would be fun to try in that brand new house you just moved into!
I love that kitchen and those kids rooms! I’m really thinking about using them too for our family room…it’s so..blah! Thanks for the great review!!
Thanks Sydney! The kids rooms are my favorite too!
it depends on the person, some people have no inclination in doing something with home decor for a beautiful space so those guys need help and some people love decorating and working on their home. The room photos you have put here are very nice, well designed spaces.Good luck in renovating your family room, keep working on it!!
Thanks so much, Maria!
I love this concept, and think it’s a great way for people to have access to professional design services, in the comfort of their own home. Thanks for sharing!
Love this concept and love the examples! I won a room design once and I was not impressed at all. They honestly didn’t listen to my vision. Sounds like this is a good company though!
What an awesome concept! I LOVE it! I definitely could use some help with a few rooms in my house. Thanks for sharing!
i love the decor ò the bedroom, looks very peaceful to me
I really love the kid’s room color scheme, great inspiration !
