I’m a huge fan of ironstone. It’s easy to decorate with and looks pretty mixed with lots of different decor styles. The problem is, I’m rarely able to find it. And when I do manage to find it, it’s usually more expensive than I want to pay. I’m not above faking a cheaper version of the real deal, and I thought I’d throw together a quick and easy post for this month’s Monthly DIY Challenge to show you how I did it.
Painted Metal Tiles
Five years ago, there wasn’t one item in my house that was a thrifted or DIY project. I didn’t really feel like I knew how to DIY things, and it never occurred to me to shop for home decor items anywhere other than places like HomeGoods or Kirkland’s. While I still shop at those stores, I’m now learning how to mix store bought items in with thrifted and DIY items and I love my home even more. Now I can’t walk into any room in my house without seeing things that I made or upcycled with my own hands.
