When we picked up this old cabinet, we weren’t sure exactly what we were going to do with it. I don’t dislike Mid Century Modern style furniture, it’s just not a style I’m typically drawn to. After it sat in my garage for a few weeks, we came up with an idea to do something cool that would fit in a young boy’s bedroom or playroom.
One of the fun things about painting furniture is that once people become aware of what you do, they start bringing you their old furniture castoffs. That’s how we got this desk we made over with a coastal vibe for Vicki’s office.
Some of my favorite makeovers are the ones that are in terrible shape when we first get our hands on them. It’s always fun to give furniture a new look, but there’s something special about taking a piece of furniture that no one wants and breathing new life back into it.
