Hello friends! How are you? I have a new furniture makeover to share with you today. This is a dresser that’s been in my stash for at least a year. It was in great shape with just some minor scratches, and I really loved the shape of the legs.
Is the weather starting to turn cooler where you live? It’s still pretty warm in the southern part of Ohio, but within the last week the mornings have been chilly and just yesterday I realized the leaves on a few of our trees are starting to turn red. Fall is right around the corner. I’m not quite ready to start decorating for fall, but I am getting the itch to create a few fall inspired projects.
Hello friends! I thought I’d share a quick table makeover I painted for my foyer today.
I’m a huge fan of ironstone. It’s easy to decorate with and looks pretty mixed with lots of different decor styles. The problem is, I’m rarely able to find it. And when I do manage to find it, it’s usually more expensive than I want to pay. I’m not above faking a cheaper version of the real deal, and I thought I’d throw together a quick and easy post for this month’s Monthly DIY Challenge to show you how I did it.
Five years ago, there wasn’t one item in my house that was a thrifted or DIY project. I didn’t really feel like I knew how to DIY things, and it never occurred to me to shop for home decor items anywhere other than places like HomeGoods or Kirkland’s. While I still shop at those stores, I’m now learning how to mix store bought items in with thrifted and DIY items and I love my home even more. Now I can’t walk into any room in my house without seeing things that I made or upcycled with my own hands.
It’s Monthly DIY Challenge day! A quick recap for those of you who are new around here.. each month we get together with a few of our favorite blogging friends, and we each create a unique project based on the same item or theme. This month our challenge item was leather.
